1. 2014 Tuition and Lesson Policies - Private in My Home Guitar Lessons
What I offer:
You drive to my home for your guitar lessons. I only offer one hour lessons believing that half hour
guitar lessons are too short and doesn't allow the proper time required to review the previous lessons,
check home practice, reinforce what has been learned and teach something new which would easily
exceed a half an hour. I provide material that is custom tailored to the student's interests and skill level.
Tuition:
Tuition for students who drive to my home for lessons is offered at a rate of $39.00/Lesson
(minimum two (2) lessons/month). Payment is due monthly and must be paid in full on the last lesson of
the current month for the following monthly cycle. If payment is not made on time and in full, lessons
will not continue and your designated lesson time may not be held, please contact me. Students may
change their current time slot to other available time slots as the need arises.
Payment:
Cash is the preferred method of payment that I accept. I do not accept checks due to having a couple
of bad experiences depositing checks into my account. Lessons will not begin until payments are
made. I do not except credit cards at this time. I will provide you with a receipt outlining lesson dates,
time of lessons and cost for tuition.
Cancellation Policy:
I encourage all students to be available for all lessons. Students must contact me via email or by
phone to cancel a lesson by 8:00 pm the evening before your scheduled lesson in order to receive a
make-up lesson. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for a make-up lesson within that month the
lesson was cancelled. If the lesson is not made up by the end of that month, the lesson is forfeited and
no refund will be issued.
If I must cancel a lesson for any reason at the last minute, I will offer students the choice between a
make-up lesson or a credit will be given. I will do everything in my power to notify students at least 24
hours prior to their lesson if I need to reschedule. I will contact you via phone and by email to give you
notice of the cancellation. I will do my best to reschedule a make-up date that is mutually agreeable to
both me and my student.
No Shows:
Student’s that are unavailable for their scheduled lesson at my home and doesn’t contact me to
cancel is considered a "no show”. Any student that is a no show will forfeit that lesson, no make-up
lesson will be scheduled and no refund will be given.

2. If a student misses two (2) lessons in a given month without due notice, it will be assumed that the
student has decided to quit taking lessons. I reserve the right to discontinue their lessons and make
that time slot available to another student and no refund will be given for those missed lessons. I will
not call you to find out why you didn’t show up.
Bad Weather:
I will do my best to contact all students in the event that I cannot make a scheduled lesson due to bad
weather. Students should contact me to check on lesson cancellations due to bad weather. If a
student is unavailable or unable to attend their scheduled their scheduled lesson they must contact
me.
Discontinuing Lessons:
If a student decides to discontinue their lessons, please inform me before the last week of the
calendar month. Advance notice will allow me to fill the available time slot and avoid the vacancy.
Observed Holidays:
I will not be available to give any lessons to observe the following holidays:
Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Years Day
