The comparison about the education system between American and china
Introduction
Grab attention: each year,there are more then 270,000 Chinese students studying in the
US.
Thesis: Education is a culture. Differenteducational system shows the way of cultural
phenomenon in different countries.
Preview: Varied kinds of education system are found in different nation as a result, the
levels of the development of economy range at different degrees among the nations
of the world let us make a comparison about the education system between American
and China.
Body
1. The sense of education
 American has the right and obligation to become educated. American
believes that, through education, an individual acquires the knowledge,
skill, attitudes and abilities, which will enable him to fie into society and
improve his social status. Education helps to shape the society and
develop the national strength. In the fact this sense of education is
prevailing not only in American, but also in china, even we can say the
entire nation in the world are managing to achieve this goal. On the other
hand, for the goal of education in china is more obviously. The goal of
education in china is go to a good collage or university.

2.  The Examination System has big different between china and
American. In American, there are 7 times for student take SAT or
ACT. But in china, there just 1 time forcollage entrance examination.
If the student cannot pass the line of collage entrance examination,
the student willneed wait fornext year and take the exam again.
Many people think the examination has great influence on the
psychologicalhealth. What is more, it is an important variable to
affecttheir examination results.
 DifferentCourse Arrangement
In China, in addition to English, the other is specialized courses.
People usually think the major course is the most important in
education. They do not allow the students chooseother course; the
students must put all focuson the major courses. In American, There
is a lot of interest to the students choose classes, for example,
German, Latin. Here and there are many lessons forstudents to learn
a lot of life skills, such as sewing, cooking.This knowledge does not
come from books,they come to life. These are necessities of life
instinct Society.
Family Education
In American family education, the parents will develop the child's
habits. When they are very young, and they parents are usually more
stringent. But in China, the parents will be very indulgent in small
children. Until the children grow up, parents are very strict
requirements to learn and work to their children. Even after their
children falling in love and get married.

3. Interview
I was interview Cheng who is a teacher and working in the Confucius Institute in
university of Kentucky. She come American about 2 years. Who was an international
teacher in china who is teaching Chinese to international students.
-How long you stay in US?
Cheng: 2 YEARS
-What is the difference between china and American?
Cheng: the class in china, teacher is the most important in the class. Before youteach
class, you should do a lot of workbefore class. in the class time the students should
put all forceon the blackboard, take notes all time, after class you should ask
question in teachers office,students cannot allow ask question in class. But in
American, the class is belonging students. There is free ask question and we can
discuss question together.
-What is the reason to influence the education?
Cheng: culture and the condition of a country.The different culture makes different
way of education and differentattitude of education. Moreover, We all knownthe US
are a developed country. China is a developing country.And there is different
population in those twocountries. So the economies are at a different level of
development. Those things all make the education different.

4. Restate preview: Now we know and understand that a lot of about the different about the
education between china and American.
Restate Thesis: Like we said earlier, the education of a country is kinds of way show the
culture.
Strong ending: to sun up, we can find the both differences and similarities in the education
system of china and American. I cannot say whose education is better or perfect;
on the contrary, each country should realize its disadvantage, and makes efforts
to make it much better.
