Puerperium stages

2.  The puerperium is the period of time that begins
after delivery and ends 6 to 8 weeks after birth.

3. Immediate puerperium
 The first 24 hours after the birth of the baby.
 Postpartum fatigue.
 Strengthens the affective link with the baby.

4. Mediate puerperium
 It lasts from 2 to 7-10 days after delivery. In this period many physical
changes begin.
 The digestive system returns to its position
 Breathing is standardized
 In the skin disappears hyperpigmentation

5. Remote puerperium
 It covers from day 11 approximately, until day 45 after the
birth of the baby.
 Return of the menstruation.
