2. The day I walked into that railway station I never thought that I
would be working there for 45 years.
To attend the interview I had to pass a physical examination
which included a vision test, the clerk asked all of the candidates
for a bribe so that we can pass the test easily. It was the first
time I had to bribe someone.
The interview was easy, I was well prepared for any question.
The only thing that was on my mind when I received my first
salary was my family.
After that life just went on, I got married, I had a daughter, she
got married and now she has kids.
I worked as a diesel locomotive driver for the railways, and some
people just cross railway tracks carelessly, there is nothing that a
driver can do if somebody walks into the tracks, all that I can do
is brake hard, but trains do not stop that easily and accidents
happen, so I left that job and became a driving instructor for
other drivers.
3. He still is not able to believe that he entered that railway
station without even the slightest thought that he would be
working there for the 4 years to come.
He is scared that he has pay a bribe for passing the physical
examination even though he is physically fit.
He cares about his family a lot, he says he sends the majority
of his salary to his poor parents.
He had his period of struggle, but now he is well settled.
He still feels guilty about those accidents that happened, even
though he couldn’t do anything to prevent them.
4. The stakeholder
is a 70 year old
retired railway
employee.
He couldn’t
bear all those
accidents that
happened.
That is why he
left his job as a
driver and
became an
instructor for
other drivers.
