To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Jennifer Segal.Jennifer interned in
theCommunications Departmentat the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
from January to May of 2013.
Jennifer came on board at a particularly busy time for the Academy during Oscar
season and jumped right in to become a part of the team. Jennifer first demonstrated her
willingness to learn by assisting at the 85th Oscar nominations announcements, which
happened to be her second full day of her internship. Throughout her internship, she
worked on large-scale projects such as the annual Oscar nominees luncheon cards,
tracking ongoing radio and broadcast coverage, and assisting anyone in the office with
any additional tasks.
As a testament to her investment in her internship at the Academy, Jennifer took
the initiative to create an internship guidebook for future interns. Having been one of the
first few interns the Communications department has had, she compiled tips and
instructions on various software, office tips, and department initiatives. This represents
her commitment during her time at the Academy and eagerness to help strengthen the
department’s internship program.
Jen was a joy to have fun in the office. She always had a positive attitude and a
smile on her face. She was enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to learn. No risk was too
big or small and Jen attacked all projects with dedication. Her professionalism coupled
with her motivated and spirited demeanor should serve her well in starting her career.
