The document describes an art therapy project at Albertslund Ungecenter in Denmark from 2014. Students began with a guided tour of a local sculpture park and were inspired to create their own sculptures. They worked with soapstone to carve sculptures, and spent hours focusing intently on their creations. The project aimed to engage students through sensory experiences with art, as many had conditions like ADHD or anxiety.

exposed to violence, degrading and
disrespectful treatment
Behaviour: Attacks peoples ethical
values, and lets racism, Xenophobia
and intolerance take over.

9. The boys are
very busy…
They work on soapstone which feels
very much like any stone but is
softer and easy to cut, sand and drill
holes into

14. The students
experience
sculptures in
many forms and
shapes
So they use their senses and when
we include poetry in the lessons,
they suddenly connect these
sensations in a new way
