Jeff Gagie: Trout Unlimited Helps to
Protect America’s Fishable Rivers for
             the Future

 ● Jeff Gagie, an attorney interested in development
and fundraising work, discusses Trout Unlimited, an
     organization he supports.
● The nation’s rivers and their fish face a variety
of challenges, from climate changes to pollution
    and general loss of habitat.
● That is why Trout Unlimited takes a leadership
role in protecting against damage to coldwater
fisheries, helping to restore those waterways
that have already suffered damage, and
teaching the next generation of anglers the
    principles of responsible environmental
    stewardship.
● What began more than 50 years ago with 16
fishers gathered in Michigan is now a vast
organization with more than 400 chapters and
    thousands of dedicated volunteers donating
half a million hours annually to efforts ranging
from cleaning polluted waterways to working
    with young anglers.
● Beyond the grassroots army of
conservationists, Trout Unlimited has more than
    120 scientists, attorneys, and other
professionals studying ways to best preserve
the nation’s rivers and encouraging political
    action to promote better environmental
    management.
● All of this work has led to the improvement of
more than 10,000 miles of rivers throughout the
country. To learn more about Trout Unlimited or
