3. Indians vs. Mariners (2001)
On the August 5th showdown, the Indians
trailed the Mariners 14-2 after just six
innings. In the final three innings, Cleveland
scored 12 runs to tie the game before
scoring the winning run in the bottom of the
eleventh. The comeback tied the MLB record
for largest deficit overcome in a game.
4. Yankees vs. Red Sox (2007)
In the legendary rivalry match between the two
East Coast powerhouses, the Red Sox became
only the fifth team in MLB history to hit four
home runs in four consecutive plate
appearances.
Yankees vs. Orioles (2008)
In the final game played at Yankee Stadium,
legendary closer Mariano Rivera recorded his
500th save and his first career RBI.
