Abidance Consulting, along with presenters from FERC and the FBI, are proud
to announce the 1st Annual CIP Workshop in New Orleans, Louisiana on April
8th and April 9th 2010. The 2 day workshop will touch on every aspect of the
NERC CIP compliance requirements and what it will take to make sure that the
power industry is in full reliability and security compliance. This will be a credible
opportunity to understand new directions, regulations, and the federal govern-
ment’s future agenda on cyber and physical security of power industry assets.
Speakers for this workshop include FERC Commissioner Spitzer, Special Agent
Tomberlin with the FBI, Will Hatcher with Infragard, Brian Harrell from SERC,
Dr. Lichtveld from Tulane University, James Holler from Abidance Security and
many other CIP experts from within the industry. Abidance Consulting is the
premiere consulting firm in the United States when it comes to NERC compli-
ance. The Abidance Consulting staff, FBI and FERC will be on hand to speak to
you one-on-one to discuss how you can easily bring your compliance efforts to
term.
There will be 8 different times during the workshop that you will be able to at-
tend the NERC approved CIP-001 sabotage reporting training classes at no ad-
ditional cost to you. Attending this class will satisfy the CIP requirement for train-
ing—certificates of attendance will be distributed after the class is completed.
