What is aVehicle Loading Crane? • A Vehicle Loading Crane is a kind of crane where a crane is mounted on the vehicle for the purpose of loading and unloading raw materials, packaged material and other heavy material from one point to another. • One can see a heavy use of Vehicle Loading Cranes at the workplace where the operators use these mechanical vehicles to move the material from the ground to truck or ship. • Such kind of vehicles are commonly known as Vehicle Loading Cranes. Beside this, these cranes are used at other places too for various kind of work. In order to operate such crane, operator needs Vehicle Loading Crane Licence.

What is aVehicle Loading Crane Licence? • Vehicle Loading Crane Licence is a document or permit which allows the operator or workman to operate the vehicle loading crane at the workplace. • Basically it is a proof which shows that the concerned person is capable of operating a vehicle loading crane and know it’s operating procedures and other operations. • It is High Risk Work Licence which allows operators to operate different kind of vehicle loading cranes. Without the HRW Licence, the operator will not be allowed to operate the high power mechanical vehicles and machines.

Why Vehicle LoadingCrane Licence is Required? • As per SafeWork NSW, if you want to operate a vehicle loading crane in NSW then it is the responsibility of the employer to provide the required training and licence to the operator. • Due to negligence and lack of training, the workmen can meet with accidents at workplace. Such accidents at workplace can lead to a serious injury as well as death. Also there can be a loss of property due to lack of training. • So to avoid accidents and for the safety of workmen at workplace, SafeWork NSW has made it mandatory to have a Vehicle Loading Crane Licence.

How to Geta Vehicle Loading Crane Licence? • In order to get a Vehicle Loading Crane Licence, you need to complete the basic Vehicle Loading Crane Training and assessment from the Recognised Training Organisation. • The first step towards to get a licence you have to find a RTO for your course. After complete the course training and assessment, you’ll get a certification of attainment. • After getting certificate of attainment, you have to lodge an application with the required licence fee at your nearest Post Office. After submitting your application to SafeWork NSW, you’ll get yoour HRW Licence within 41 days.
- 6. Duration and Feesof the Course • The duration of the required course is one day and fees is AUD 500 which is GST exempted. • The training and SafeWork NSW assessment will be provided on the same day. • All the course material and the NSW assessment fee is included in the above mentioned fee. Note: The duration of the course and course fee can be vary from RTO to RTO.
