The Dudhsagar Falls is located on the Goa-Karnataka border in the Western Ghats. According to legend, a beautiful princess living in the nearby forest was embarrassed after being watched while bathing and poured her jug of sweetened milk down the mountainside to create a curtain, and the cascading milk continues to this day. The waterfall stands 600m tall and is best viewed during the monsoon months of June to September when water flow is highest. It can be accessed by road from Collem or by staying at the nearby Dudhsagar Spa Resort lodge.
