I dislike having to remember something that seems irrelevant to me. When this does happen
though, I try to think of the bigger picture, my future. Handle things in a mature manner, certain
things in life aren’t going to be interesting but in order to succeed; I have to make certain
sacrifices.
Moreover, one memorizing technique I refuse to use, rhymes, that never really works for me.
Rhyming one word with another is just going to cause too many images in my head in which
may cause me to mix things up. Rhyming information seems unrelated to the information to me.
Furthermore, I am willing to use images as a memorizing technique. Pictures help me match
one thing to the other. I also use symbols, if I’m trying to remember how much of something
someone wanted, I try to match them with signs. For example, when my mom asks me to collect
recycling items, I picture the recycling symbol and thing of what items fall underneath that
category.
To sum up, everyone has their own way of using memorization techniques. Norton may use
some, while I use others. Everyone is different.
