1. BEST PRACTICES FOR
WEBSITES & PARENT PORTALS
SITE TIPS & PARENT PORTAL MODES
2. WHY HAVE A WEBSITE & ONLINE REG?
IS THIS REALLY HELPING YOUR
BUSINESS?
BAD REASONS:
“My competitor has one.”
“For pictures and a map to my facility.”
“Because my ________ built one for me.”
3. WHEN YOU BUILD A SITE FOR THE WRONG REASONS:
You end up with
something like this.
(This was made by one of
our staff members in ~3
hours on Google Sites for
a college project.
Why? “To present basic
information.” >>>)
No Branding.
Few Visual Cues.
No Contact Us.
No Social
Integrations.
4. WHY HAVE A WEBSITE & ONLINE REG?
BETTER REASONS:
“To get better search rankings.”
“To provide information about classes and registration.”
“To better connect with our customers.”
NOW, THERE’S A SOLID BENEFIT…
5. WHY HAVE A WEBSITE & ONLINE REG?
THE BEST REASONS

the last three sites had great branding,
direction, & organization.
In short, they were inviting!
(And yes, they were all also by our friends at Key Creative.)
