A GREEN FAMILY AFFAIR
From Adversity to Success
Dipolog City, gateway to lush
Zamboanga del Norte, is home to
the travel-loving Suan family – Karl,
a pediatrician, his wife Celeste, an
anesthesiologist and their two lively
daughters.
Karl and Celeste were introduced to
Human Nature by their parents who
encouraged them to sign up
as advocates.
“We decided to go for it as a business
to promote usage of environmentally
friendly products and to help poor
Filipino communities,” says Karl.
Despite being advocates for barely
half a year, they were able to move
P283,373 worth of products and refer
18 more advocates in the first quarter
of this year – even after the Christmas
peak season.
The couple manages a shop at
a Dipolog City mall, where their
bestselling product is the iconic
Dawn Fernando traces back her Human Nature
story to difficult circumstances. Her aunt battled
cancer and she witnessed her aunt making the switch
to a natural lifestyle.
When Human Nature opened in Baguio City in
2014, she signed up as an advocate wanting to also
decrease her cancer risk. She was also inspired with

In December 2015, Dawn opened Earth and Body

A PERFECT FIT
Catherine had already been running an
accounting and bookkeeping business.
Still, her heart yearned to start another
enterprise. She recalls praying, “Lord,
give me a business that I can bring to my
community and friends.”
There were a lot of options but Catherine
