 To help foster early childhood education and reduce preventable
youth deaths, Save the Children recently hosted its second annual
Save the Children IlluminationGala in NewYork City.The
November event honored a number of guests for their work to
secure a better future for children, including actor Ben Affleck for
his achievements as the founder and leader of the Eastern Congo
Initiative. In addition to granting Mr.Affleck the Global Child
Advocate Award, the IlluminationGala presented awards toThe
Right HonorableTony Blair,Austin Hearst,T.J. Maxx, and others.

 The Gala was hosted by Save the Children trustee Jennifer Garner
and presented by Johnson & Johnson.At the event, Johnson &
Johnson also revealed a $10 million worldwide collaboration with
Save the Children that will provide mission and program support
to help millions of children in just three years. Johnson & Johnson
will also continue to provide non-monetary support, like advocacy
and awareness-building efforts, to further advance Save the
Children’s objectives.
