1) My first idea was to make half of a semi-sphere that would be long enough to cover
the neck and head of the guitar. The semi-sphere would be made out of a hard plastic. Once the
semi-sphere is made, line the whole inside of the half of a semi-sphere with gel insoles (silicone
gel).
2) My second idea was to make a box that would be able to attach to the head of the
guitar stand in place of the bridge. The face of the box that is facing the guitar would be
removed, and silicone gel would be placed in the box. This way, if the guitar stand is tipped
over, it is protracted from the front.
3) Place foam on the bridge on the head of the guitar stand. The foam should be
extruded out until the point where it touches the guitar. Putting this foam in the bridge will not
only allow the guitar neck to not be damaged if the stand were to fall over, but also, to help
support the weight of the rest of the guitar body from falling out of the guitar stand.
4) Extend the iron metal tubing of the basket out 3 inches. After this is done, heat up the
tubing that you have added on, and bend it at about a 90 degree angle. Once this is complete,
extend the tubing up inches. This will prevent the guitar from falling out if the stand is tipped
forward.
