2. I chose this image of Ben Morrell
for my front cover. I took a couple
but chose this one as it best suited.
It has direct address, he was
wearing suitable clothing for Indie
Rock genre and he has raised his
eye brow, which is a good facial
expression you tend to see on the
front of music magazines.
3. This photo was chosen of Harry
Strachan for my contents page
because I needed a photo of him as
he is looking for a “a new sound.”
he plays drums so I asked him to sit
on the drums whilst I took a mid
shot from a higher angle.
This photo on the left
is Jake Banks. I
needed a photo of him
as he was my main
feature for my double
page spread. I chose
this photo because he
shows good facial
expression, wearing
Indie Rock clothes and
was taken with a good
background.
These two images below where
taken because they are Indie Rock
instruments. I took them on a plain
background and I cropped out the
door handles etc.
4. My double page spread image is Jake Banks due to the fact I
had an interview with him and asked him questions about his
music. It was taken on the same day i took the image for the
contents page. However this one suits the contents page
better, as it is closer, shows strong direct address as they
would on similar magazines like NME or Kerrang.
