1. King Midas and the Golden Touch
In this piece of literature it addresses one of the seven deadly sins, greed.
King Midas is a fun story that is easy to adapt cross-curricular. In social studies,
you can talk about kings and royalty. In science, you can use this story while
talking about precious metal. The students can reenact the story in art. In
addition, the students could play a King Midas freeze tag in physical education. I
would select this piece to be used in the 4-6 grade levels.
