Soundtrack:
Throughout the film, a combination of sound effects, music,
dialogue and voiceover (e.g.: a phone call or an off-screen
character) are used. During this section of the film, the
soundtrack is extremely effective as it uses a music track with
beats similar to that of heartbeats and/or footsteps- this builds
tension and grips the viewer. The simple sentence of the police
officer (‘That’s impossible’) adds to the special effects and
expresses what the viewer is thinking. It also dramatises the
special effects by showing that that was not normal for the
world and enforces that these two characters are beyond the
norm.
