Good in the Brain
1. “ How to win an argument with a creationist” BCC Focus Magazine “ Searching for God in The Brain” www.scientificamerican.com
2. Is the identification of brain’s functions associated with mystical experiences a prove of God’s existence or a consequence of men’s evolutionary process?
5. “ God in the Brain” “ The height of this meditative trance was associated with both a large drop in activity in a portion of the parietal lob, which encompasses the upper back of the brain, and an increase in activity in the right prefrontal cortex, which resides behind the forehead.” Is the believe in God part of the human beings’ evolutionary process?
6.
7. God’s Inexistence To prove that specific areas of our brain are responsible for the development of feelings related to faithful spiritual experiences is to deny God’s existence as a being outside man. He is, therefore, a product of human mind and does not exist independently of men.
11. We are still not able to completely understand the roots of religious feelings, therefore, we cannot deny God’s existence based on the information we have.
Look at the research involving brain scan and analyze how far we can go, concluding that it is a prove or disprove of God’s existence.
Mention that if it is part of the evolutionary process it may be an essence in the human being and people may acess it in the same way. When I mention God as a part of the human evolution, I would argue that our physical existence may have a capacity and necessity to believe. This necessity can be filled by different religions or even the existence of the same feeling and believe for something else – like the science. But the brain has the space for the believe and this must be occupied. That’s why so many people believe in god.
Until the regularity cannot be find, like the creation of the big bang – god exist as far as science cannot explain a phenomenon. Once the explanation emerges, God existence will finally be denied.
