4. FROM THE BEGINNING Paramore is an alternative rock band originating in Franklin, Tennessee, and formed in 2004. When 13-year-old Hayley Williams (vocals) moved from Meridian, Mississippi to Franklin, Tennessee in 2002, she met brothers Josh (guitar) and ZacFarro (drums) at their school. In 2004 the three formed Paramore with their friend Jeremy Davis (bass). The first song the newly formed band wrote was Conspiracy, one of the ten songs featured on their first studio album titled All We Know is Falling (2005). However, it was their second studio album, Riot!, released in 2007 that seriously gave Paramore their fame. Following the release of Riot! included extensive touring in promotion of the album. Also, Taylor York toured with Paramore as their rhythm guitarist and became an official band member on June 17, 2009. Paramore released their third studio album, brand new eyes, in late 2009 and are currently touring all over the world in support of the album.

Went gold (500,000 copies sold) on January 19, 2010.

6. MISCELLANEOUS Paramore has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and two MTV VMAs, won four Teen Choice Awards and one People’s Choice Award, among countless other award wins and nominations. Paramore has one song, Decode, on the Twilight movie soundtrack, and it was certified gold on March 12, 2009, selling over 500,000 copies. Paramore has a live CD/DVD release of their performance in Chicago on August 12, 2008. The live album is called The Final Riot!, and was certified gold on March 17, 2009. Paramore’s songs have appeared on popular video games such as: The Sims 2, Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades, and Guitar Hero: World Tour. Hayley also is a unlockable character on Guitar Hero: World Tour.
