I am writing this letter on behalf of Jon Montgomery. I have known Jon for almost
a year and a half; first as a student and then as a member of our fire department.
My interactions with Jon have been nothing but positive. Jon participated in the
Clark County Fire Cadet Program as a junior and senior in high school. This
program gives students first hand experience at the inner workings of a fire
department, all the while giving them training and education that translates into
college credit. Jon was an exemplary student, both academically and on the drill-
ground. He attained the highest grade in his class. He was well respected by his
fellow students and the instructors.
Personally, I respect Jon a great deal for his ability to speak his opinion in a
professional and eloquent manner. He and I have had several conversations
regarding his future in the fire service and I fully support Jon on his quest to
attain his goal of becoming a professional firefighter. I fully vouch for Jon and his
character, morals, and ethics.
