The
Dream
Machine
The
Dream
Machine
allows
users
to
choose
their
dreams.
Users
program
the
device
before
bedtime,
choosing
from
different
settings.
Our
project
will
encompass
design
research,
prototyping,
and
a
marketing
plan
(covering
product,
place,
price,
and
promotion).
Team
Activity
On
Monday
November
9
(at
3pm,
our
set
meeting
time),
Natasha
and
Rikard
met
with
Stephanie
via
iChat
because
she
was
sick.
We
communicated
via
email
over
the
weekend.
Group
Progress
At
our
last
meeting,
we
decided
to
document
the
project
in
a
blog
form.
Stephanie
set
up
the
blog
and
invited
the
team
members
last
week.
Natasha
made
a
couple
posts.
Features
of
the
project
blog
include
brainstorming,
iterations,
inspiration,
file
sharing,
and
individual
commentary.
We
decided
on
a
schedule,
to
follow
the
four
P’s
of
marketing.
This
week
we
will
begin
the
design
research
and
prototyping.
In
the
following
weeks,
we
will
develop
a
marketing
plan
and
lastly,
execute
the
campaign
(print,
television,
and
web).
Individual
Progress
Rikard
nicely
outlined
the
timeline
and
also
formulated
our
roles.
In
this
way,
we
are
sharing
responsibilities,
yet
taking
the
lead
with
the
roles
in
which
we
best
excel.

Problems/Concerns
In
last
week’s
presentation,
Natasha
and
Rikard
were
not
prepared.
Our
ideas
were
not
communicated
as
well
as
our
peers,
and
the
presentation
quality
was
poor.
Overall,
we
need
to
communicate
better
as
a
group.
Hopefully
this
new
blog
system
will
facilitate
this.
Future
Outlook
Even
though
our
presentation
was
not
executed
well
last
week,
we
did
feel
strongly
about
each
of
our
ideas
because
they
were
developed
wholly
as
a
team.
Each
of
us
has
an
equal
stake
in
the
outcome
and
we
are
excited
to
deliver!
Having
the
class
give
us
feedback
helped,
because
we
would
not
likely
have
chosen
the
Dream
Machine
beforehand.
As
previously
stated,
the
next
couple
of
weeks
will
be
very
product‐centric,
and
we
will
gradually
move
on
to
price,
place,
and
promotion.
