necessary. However, neighborhood schools offer open
enrollment.

 Selective Enrollment High Schools provide academically advanced high school students with a
challenging and enriched college preparatory experience. They offer a rigorous curriculum with
primarily honors and AP courses.
 High schools include: Brooks, Jones, King, Lane, Lindblorn, Northside, Walter Payton, South Shore,
Westinghouse, and Whitney Young
 Application process is needed and the selection process is highly competitive.
