MAKING CONNECTIONS/ DELIVERING RESULTS
ALPA’s low cost in-service experiential leadership training thinks differently
about enriching the skills of current service providers working with older adults.
Developed by the Life Planning Network, ALPA is a nationally tested on-line
curriculum. It prepares staff to teach their service recipients to seek and use
resources that meet their needs and maximize positive aging. Using a self-
advocacy model that encourages collaboration, ALPA will help you address the
growing senior need in your community and make the best use of available
resources. Past host organizations say the training creates higher levels of
commitment, collaboration, efficiency and team fulfillment. Up to 15 participants
at each host site meet in small groups six times to discuss the curriculum and
their individualized fieldwork projects. Website materials, maintenance, and
evaluation services cost $100 per participant which are usually paid by the host
organization and offered free to staff and volunteers.
We would love for you to be a part of this movement to empower your clients to
live their best life possible. If you are open to discussing ALPA further, please let
Gail Steinberg, our national coordinator get in touch with you. Just send a note to
