prior to installation.
Note: Check all the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in
cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint
may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn
or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Note: Check all the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if
necessary.
Note: Lubricate all the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
1. Install rear trunnion in the reverse order of removal.
a. Install new bolts (7.1), (7.2), and (8.2) that secure trunnion to the housing. Tighten the
bolts to a torque of 875 ± 125 N·m (645 ± 92 lb ft). Turn the bolts an additional 120 ± 5
degrees after the bolts have been torqued.
b. Install new bolts (4.2), (3.2), and (3.1). Tighten using a clockwise or counter clockwise
sequence to a torque of 375 ± 40 N·m (277 ± 30 lb ft). Tighten again in the same
sequence to a torque of 375 ± 40 N·m (277 ± 30 lb ft) and turn an additional 120 degrees
± 10 degrees.

12. c. Install Tooling (B) to face of the trunnion prior to installing plate (2.3).
d. Tighten bolts (2.2), (1.2), and (1.1) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).

Installation Procedure
1. Install the differential and bevel gear in the reverse order of removal.
