The family that bikes together, stays together.
Whether you're going on a trip by yourself or with your family, there's no reason why you shouldn't bring your bicycles along with you, and every reason why you should.
Why should I bring my bike when I could probably rent one wherever I go, you'll be asking yourself.
Because bicycles that are offered for rent are often not of the best quality. They're usually 'beaters' - just something on two wheels for people to get...
Brazil Travel Tips Accessorize Your Car With A Roof Rack
1. Accessorize Your Car With A Roof Rack - Travel
Traveling is almost like going on an adventure of your own. Making a list
makes you prepared for your trip and allows you to have an enjoyable trip.
The following paragraphs are full of ideas you can use to make a great travel
checklist.
If you are touring Europe, take advantage of their outstanding rail system.
Instead of flying to each of your destinations, only fly into your first city and
then hop on the train. Not only is it much more affordable, but by traveling
overland, you are sure to get an amazing look at the area beyond your major
city stops.
2. Planning to keep children happy and occupied while traveling will prevent a
lot of headaches for everyone. Set aside special back-packs for any child
accompanying you on your venture and fill it with goodies that will hold their
attention, amuse them, and even feed them, if necessary. Small things that
help pass time like books and notepads or travel games should suffice and
will go a long way in easing hassles and boredom.
When traveling it can make a big difference to travel when it is not a holiday
or popular vacation time. If one goes on a time that is unlikely to be a popular
vacation time they can avoid many hassles. There will be less crowds and
waits for attractions. One can have a much more relaxed time.
3. When traveling to poor countries or countries with high crime rates, keep all
of your valuables out of sight. Don't wear a camera over your shoulder or
even a cheap watch on your wrist if you don't want to attract the attention of
thieves and beggars. Carry a shoulder bag for these types of items instead.
When traveling in another country, be sure to clean your hands and under
your fingernails often. Try not to touch your face, especially your eyes and
mouth ,to prevent any bacteria or germs from getting in. This is especially
important if you're visiting a less developed country to avoid getting sick.
4. Instead of putting your liquids in a plastic bag to prevent them from leaking,
try unscrewing the lid and putting a piece of plastic from a grocery bag over
the top and screwing the lid on over it. While a zip-lock bag will prevent spills
from ruining things, this method will prevent things from spilling in the first
place.
If you wish to travel abroad, try learning about the language. You can easily
find small guides that contain all the essential words, in case you get lost or
need something. Do not assume that everybody will speak English and people
will be more friendly if you try speaking their language.
5. Getting away is great, but too often we bring too much with us to remind us
of home. Limit yourself to essential toiletry products. List all the ones you
typically use each day and that you really need. Pack only those that are really
necessary.
While Spanish is the lingua franca in most countries in the Western
hemisphere, remember that Brazil is not one of them. Brazilians speak
Portuguese. If you intend to visit Brazil, learning a little Portuguese can turn
out to be a lot of help; learning Spanish will be considerably less valuable to
you.
