This is my history slide show about my journey to Austin's Colony

1. My Time in Austin’s Colony

2. My Journey
• Austin’s colony is the best. We left New Orleans because of
the panic. We came on the a ship called the Lively. It was a
fun and exiting trip here. It was also very colorful.

3. My Arrival
• I was willing to become a catholic and become a Mexican
Citizen. I was hard working and honest. That’s what it took to
live in Austin’s Colony.

4. 1822
• This was probably the worst winter we had. There was still
lumber everywhere and it was miserably cold. Many of us
died but may of us survived.

5. 1822
• Since it was so cold, the cattle died and we had no meat. The
crops also wouldn’t grow so it was very difficult to eat.

6. 1823
This was a better year for us. It was awful though because the
Lively sank. We also had a dispute with the mexicans over
cotton. The building slowed down because the ship sank.

7. 1823
• It was a mild winter which was good so the cattle and crops
could grow.

8. 1824
• This year could have been better. We thrived for the Bumper
cotton crop.

9. 1824
• There also was a high demand for beef and there was lots of
building.

10. My town
• I ended up being very well off and had lots of money. I also
have extra money to save.

11. My conclusion
• I was really glad that I moved my family to Austin’s Colony. I
know that my family is safe and taken care of.
