Research Experience_
Graduate Research Assistant, Department of Administration of Justice, Texas Southern University, August 2013 –
present
Throughout my years as PhD. Student, I ha ve be e n working with a number of faculties on a variety of
projects. I have worked closely with Prof. Helen Greene on a quantitative studies focusing on the evaluation of
H o u s t o n P o lic e S e c u r it y p r o g r a m s . My responsibilities included (but not limited to) conducting a
literature review, analyzing the data using time series analysis and writing up final results. Under the second position, I
worked with Prof. James Opolot on a qualitative research project (ethnography) looking at the culture of
bouncing (night time security) in Texas (fall 2014). My responsibilities included (but not limited to)
conducting a literature review, attending night clubs to conduct the ethnographic observations, conduct interviews
with bouncers, analyze the data and write a final report. Lastly, I worked under the leadership of Dr. Ashraf
Mozayania on grant proposal for establishment of forensic learning lab – which ended up being established.
