MERGEFORMATINET
Special events in my family’s life:•When my mom and I were at the Daytona race with my dad and we won and I got to go to victory lane. •Got our first dog, Smoochy.•We went to Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
My Dad
My dad is great dad! He is the crew chief for Kevin Harvick in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He is gone about every week, he leaves for the race track on Thursday and has the race on Sunday and returns home late Sunday. Sometimes me and my mom go to the races and get to see him. NASCAR has the longest season in sports from early February to late November, the week before Thanksgiving. When he’s not racing we might stay at home by the pool or watch a movie. Every year when he’s off we go to a Tennessee Titans game in Nashville, TN. Me and my dad have a great relationship, we do a lot of stuff together. We go fishing, go to the lake maybe one or twice and when I go to the races with him I get to sit on the pit box the entire race. So, that’s my dad.
My Mom
My Mom is a great mom! She is a stay at home mom. She is a really good cook. She makes me my favorite food, Chicken Pot Pie. My mom does the laundry, cleans around the house, and takes me to ballgames, school, and other stuff. It may seem like a stay at home mom does nothing, but she does a lot and helps me and my dad out. Me and my mom have a great relationship just like I have with my dad. When we don’t go to the race with my dad we stay at home and do stuff together. We go out to dinner and on Sunday’s we sit at home and watch the race on TV and she gets out the computer and she can listen to my dad on the computer making calls and lap times to our driver at the racetrack. She is a great mom!
My Family
My Grandparents
My Grandparents names are Mary and Lee. They are from my mom’s side of the family. They live in Great Falls, SC. Every time I go up there my grandma fixes me some French Fries, spaghetti, and pound cake. They are really good and I always look forward to seeing them and what they fix when I go visit them. She spoils me a lot, just like my Grandpa. I help him around the yard to earn some extra money and most of the time I just do it to help them out. He takes me to Wendy’s every so often and takes me to the town Flea Market sometimes. They are both great Grandparents! Now my other grandparents, from my dad’s side of the family. My grandpa used to live in Nashville, TN, where my dad was born, but when my dad was in his 20’s on March 17th my grandma had a heart attack and died that night in Baptist Hospital in downtown Nashville. I never met my Grandma, but my dad told me she was great and she told my dad a couple of months before she died that if my dad had a girl or boy she would spoil her/him rotten. When I get to heaven I will see her and ask her all sorts of questions and give her a hug. My grandpa lived by himself for 15 years until he finally moved down to Concord, NC a year ago. He lives about 10 houses down from us and we went to see him about every day to check on him and give him some dinner my mom fixed. But last December, two weeks before Christmas, my grandpa woke up and seemed a little weird. He was saying stuff that didn’t make any since…we took him to a hospital to see what was wrong.
He had a stroke that night before we took him to the hospital. He was in the hospital and had a real difficult time remembering people and their names. My family visited him every day for about an hour. My dad was there every day for about half the day and brought him milkshakes and dinner. Well a week before my grandpa had a stroke, the people that worked for my dad bought him a Christmas present and it was 3 tickets to the Titans game in Nashville, on the front row and on the Titans side. They are playing the San Diego Chargers on Christmas night. Well my dad didn’t know what to do because he promised to take me to the game. Well I didn’t want to be the bad guy so I told my dad we can just go another time, but my dad insisted to take me. My dad spent the night up there a couple of times with my grandpa so he could spend time with him. My dad didn’t know who could stay with my grandpa while my mom, dad, and I go to the game. Luckily my Aunt Beverly, from Atlanta, GA, offered to stay with him while we were gone. My Aunt Beverly is my dad’s older sister. She lives in Georgia with my little cousin, Jasmine (look on picture to the left) and my Aunt Beverly’s daughter, Laura, who is in her 30’s. Laura’s daughter is Jasmine, my cousin. So my Aunt decided to pack up her suitcase and head to Concord. While we left for Nashville on the 24th, my Aunt was giving us updates on how he is doing. We returned on the 26th and my grandpa was doing “ok”. He stayed in the hospital from middle December to late January. He was moved to a Medical Center in downtown Harrisburg. There was a two-person room and a movable TV above their head. My grandpa had a roommate named Mr. Cecil. He was a former World War Two veteran.
INCLUDEPICTURE quot;

MERGEFORMATINET
My dog, cousin Jasmine, my dad, and me at a trailer parkin Franklin, NC.We
My FamilyPage 2
Some more of my family is my two little cousins in South Carolina, Heather and Caitlyn. Heather is 10 and Caitlyn is 5 years old and they have a mom named Jennifer. My cousin Jeffery left them and now Jennifer and the kids are with another man who Jennifer married not long ago. The man who Jennifer married has two little girls. My cousin Jeffery lives by himself. My Uncle Johnny and Aunt Sandra, who also live in South Carolina, all of them are from my mom’s side of the family. From my dad’s side of the family are my Aunt Beverly, Aunt Laura, and my cousin Jasmine. Also there is my Aunt Debbie, who was also my dad’s sister, and her son, Dane. Dane used to be in a lot of product commercials, like some Dodge car commercials and some phone commercials and he was also in some movies! He is really cool to be around and he’s funny. Then there’s my Aunt Siebel and Uncle Bob, they live in Nashville not far from where my Aunt Debbie used to live (she now resides in Alabama by herself), every time we went to Nashville or somewhere that went through their, we would stop by and see them and say hello for a while. Well this has been my whole family from my mom and dad’s side. I hope you enjoyed it! We visited my grandfather every chance we got because the nurses told us that we needed to stay away some so if one day we don’t show up he won’t be that mad if we don’t show up. He was taken real care of by the nurses there. I would go up there sometimes when my mom dropped me off to take him to the movie they had there for all the people at the medical center. Other times I would just go up there to show him pictures that he probably couldn’t remember. He remembered some and I was really impressed that he remembered some and there were others that he couldn’t remember. But every day that went by he progressed and got better, but some days he went down and then went up and got better. After two and a half months, the nurses said he could go home, but we had nobody to stay with him at his house because the nurses told us that somebody has to stay with him. Well my Aunt Beverly heard and she volunteered to stay with him and take care of him. She really helped us out because none of my family could stay with him. Today she is still with my grandpa and taking care of him. Since he had the stroke he is from time to time in a bad mood, but mostly he in a good mood.
Gil, Ronda, Ford Martin4180 Amarillo DriveConcord, NC 28027Phone:(704)-784-4039Cell: (704)-634-7939 (704)-906-3215 (704)-724-4367E-Mail:Ford07@carolina.rr.com

The Martin’s4180 Amarillo Dr.Concord, NC 28027
Ford Martin 4180 Amarillo Dr. Concord, NC 28027
