This we know: 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness Inspired = God breathed ( Theos + pneo ) God + to breathe or wind That being the case: Would we be better off if the we depended on the same thing that inspired those writers of scripture to write the scripture to help us understand the same scripture rather than leaning to our own understanding?
3. We’ve all probably read this countless times: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. If the above picture represents the truth in the scripture above, naturally there aren’t enough crosses there for all of us. My question is this: If EVERYTHING that gets nailed to the cross is to die, why is it so hard identify with the fact that really, our lives are not ours. If our lives are also on the cross with Christ, does it make you think of how slow death on the cross really was?
4. The question is WHY do you do what you do? Religious deeds done out of low motives are twice evil. They’re evil in and of themselves and they’re also evil because they’re done in the name of the Lord. THE MOTIVE
5. Can we know God as intimately as well as we know material things through exercising the use of our 5 senses? My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Matthew 5:8 For she thought, "If I just touch His garments, I will get well." Mark 5:28 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 34:8 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 2 Corinthians 2:14
