Using VisualBasic to add interactivity to a PowerPoint presentation

1. Interactivity in

2. Set up your slide with the

3. Save as a macro-enabled
presentation
 File > Save As

4. View your developer tab
 File > Options > Customize Ribbon

5. Add Visual Basic Code
 Developer > Visual Basic
 Insert > New Module
 Each subroutine (sub) you write will
be a separate macro in your
presentation

6. To add a macro to an shape/text
box
 Select it
 Go to Insert > Action
 Choose “run macro” and pick the name of the
relevant subroutine

7. More complicated: adding a score
Variable to keep track of how many
correct answers given
Each time an question is answered
correctly, this increases by one
Show this value when the user has
finished the quiz

8. More complicated: If each
question is on a new slide
Moves on to the next slide once they have answered the question

9. More complicated: personalisation
