Want to know more about quantifying chemical compounds with the help of zNose. Here is link to a white paper on chemical solutions: http://bit.ly/29OuRxQ The following infograph talks about the use of antiseptic soaps and lotions and how zNose helps in quantifying marker compounds and odor signatures which are present in these antiseptic soaps and lotions. Each soap and lotion contains a unique marker compounds and odor signatures and in places like hospitals, kitchens. child care centers etc it is really important to maintain sterile conditions. zNose is a one stop solution due to its rapid aroma profiling that it can identify and quantify these chemical signatures for soaps and lotions in just 7 steps which are as follows: First, the soap and lotion samples are tested in vials. Then, it is withdrawn and tested with a needle attached to the inlet of the zNose. After that, an analyser is used for keeping a stable temperature where the sample is tested for <1 min. Then, the vapors are re-measured. The analysis shows seven major peaks corresponding to the seven major chemical components. The results show that the aroma of the lotion was 20x times more dominant than the aroma of soap. After washing hands, the chromatograms show that an antiseptic soap was used. It also shows that rinsing hands with water does not remove all of the fragrance from the hands when a lotion is used but is just the opposite in the case of an antiseptic soap as the aroma disappears after rinsing hands more than once. These are the steps by which zNose determines the chemical signatures in antiseptic soaps and lotions.
