SPORT’S IMPACT ON THE QUALITY OF
LIFE
Sports Activities That Can Be Easily Integrated In Daily Life.
WHAT IS SPORT?
Although there are complementary definitions of sport in many sources, the common points in all definitions
are as follows:
*Sports can be defined as all the activities that aim at physical, mental, cognitive and social development, in
the form of a game or competition, with or without rules, individually or as a team. If you ask anyone, young
or adult, they can easily define sports from their own perspective.
*Sport is a part of universal culture, an important means of uniting people of different languages, races and
religions in the world.
PHYSICAL EFFECTS OF SPORTS
We are all trying to keep up with the hectic pace. Home, school, work, we are in a constant rush.
So what's the most happening in this rush? “Energy of course!” I hear your expression.
The high level of your energy to let go of benefiting from life. But we're talking about the
problem because of how it gets this energy. You cannot wait for this energy to energize while
you are standing still.
It provides your sports agenda, motivation and energy. It creates discipline for your life. It
also keeps you fit.
It allows you to provide more for the work you do.
It is explained in more detail as it relates to our sports lives.
It protects your health and you can maintain your ideal weight.
PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF SPORTS
Sport protects our mental health with its biological and psychological effects on the human brain.
As we are physically in motion when we do sports, we focus our attention away from the stress
and intensity of the day and focus on our body.
Since every part of our body moves with the command of our brain, in fact, our brain starts
working before our body.
Sports regulate the relationships between our nerve cells and help our coordination skills improve.
One of the features of sports is that it is a natural anti-depressant. Depression is almost never
encountered in people who exercise regularly.
Sports are also good for the stress of business life.
With sports, the amount of oxygen in our brain increases and our memory becomes stronger.
Therefore, the person becomes fit and individual performance increases.
It increases your motivation and helps you focus maximum on what you are doing.
It removes all your negative thoughts! While doing sports, you have the opportunity to get away
from all the problems in your life or thoughts that affect you badly.
The positive effect of regular exercise on sleep patterns has also been scientifically proven.
If so;
DO NOT MISS THE POSITIVE EFFECTS OF SPORTS IN YOUR LIFE.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES
THAT CAN BE EASILY
INTEGRATED IN DAILY LIFE
Busy work/school days, family and social life... Yes, it is difficult to make
exercise a part of daily life. But it is also true that prioritizing physical
activities brings with it a healthy life, good sleep and even strong social
relationships.
You don't have to go to the gym every day to exercise and tone your body.
It is possible to make movement and exercise a part of daily life in simple
and creative ways. Here are a few ideas worth trying:
Train while you work
At work or school, take the stairs to the bathroom on a different floor, use a
printer away from your desk, or talk to your colleagues instead of emailing
them. At meetings or during presentations in schools, volunteer to take notes
and stay in front of the blackboard. You can even try to put the items you use
frequently during the day away from your desk and try to stand up every time.
Park far away or don’t use public transport for short distances
Try walking a little. Turn your daily journeys into an opportunity to move. In this way, you will both fulfill your
morning energy and stay away from the crowd. Be sure that these small changes will make you feel much better.
Take a walk to get rid of the afternoon tiredness
Get up from your desk at around four o'clock every work/school day and take 10-15 minute walks. Don't forget to
take deep breaths too. When you return to work, you will be amazed to find that you are full of energy and ready for
the rest of the day. Remember that seemingly simple interventions can do wonders.
Set reminders
Set your phone to sound an alarm every 90 minutes while working or studying at home. In this
way, you will not neglect to stand up, stretch and move a little.
Try combining music and movement
Music works wonders. When you wake up in the morning, cool your mat and turn on the music.
Let your body move according to the music and its unique needs. Whether you greet the sun or
dance; You will enjoy the movement brought by the music.
Agree on household chores with your parents
For example, try doing a half-hour exercise while your parents prepare dinner after school. In this
way, you may not skip your daily physical activity without sacrificing your sleep.
Keep your program simple but non-negotiable
Be programmed. Set aside at least one evening of the week for some type of activity such as yoga or
exercise. Never compromise, never deviate from your schedule. Sit and stand for a while, while
studying or working.
Carry simple exercise equipment
If you do yoga, for example, you can have your jump rope with you. When you need to relax during the
day and want to do a few movements, you can remove the rope from your bag and fulfill your energy
with a short exercise session.
Include your family in your daily exercise
Involving your family in your training sessions adds extra motivation. You can take a walk on the
sidelines at your sibling's soccer practice or go on bike tours with your family. In this way, you will be
able to spend quality time together, be a good model for your siblings or children, and meet your daily
movement needs.
Get motivated with your dog
Every morning when you take your dog outside, take advantage of the morning sun and fresh air.
Stretch, use the gym equipment in the park and start the day with your dog full of energy. Squeeze little
exercise habits into your daily routine.
Try doing mini exercise in your daily life.
For example, when drying your hair, make lifting movements with your toes. While waiting for the
bus, do your hand and wrist stretches, try squatting while watching a movie with your child. Do the
chores yourself If you're outsourced to house chores, try taking a break. Cleaning your house yourself
means burning 400 calories for free. In this way, you will be able to manage your home even better
between cleaning days and you will be proud of your work.
