The temple and the sanctuary around were dedicated to Asklepios Zmidrenus. This name has been known since 1875 when an inscription dedicated to him was discovered in Rome. The inscription is dated in 227 AD and was left by soldiers originating from the city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv).

- 3. Having the jitters? Practice, practice, practice. The better prepared you are, the better your natural instincts will be as you perform. Make sure you have your story memorized, but storytelling is great because no one knows you’ve gone off the story. Your interpretation means you decide what to add or take away in the performance.

- 6. Tips Use very different voices for the different characters. Block your scene effectively – use your space to help the audience envision the story. Use your body – make sure your body language helps your characterization!
