Citizen Test Questions
What grade did you get?
After taking this citizen-ship test I received a score of 68.
Why do you think you got that grade other than just the amount of questions you got right?
I think I got this grade because learning some of the things that were being asked in the
questions was not reinforced in my everyday life and the importance of knowing some of
those things are not looked as ‘extremely important’ or else they would be in our
everyday curriculum throughout elementary school and high school.
What does it mean to you that you got that grade?
In a way, it makes me disappointed in myself that I know so little about the state/country
that I call home. There were questions on the test that I found myself confused even as to
what it was.
What does it say about Americans as you learned the nation's average grade on this test (68)?
To me, an average score of 68 on a citizen test that is supposed to be our so called
‘home,’ is nowhere near fair to the immigrants coming to America in search of a new
start and being expected to take a test that most Americans can’t even hold true to passing
with a high percentage rate.
