of
karaoke
recordings
for
songs

sing
to
a
recording
or
accompaniment
at
the
concert
• Duet
auditions
are
allowed
but
no
groups
(no
more
than
2)
• High
school
sponsored
event
so
high
school
dress
code
applies
• The
song
you
sing
at
auditions
must
be
the
song
that
you
sing
at
the
event
(NO
NEW
SUPRISES);
you
will
be
disqualified
if
you
try
to
sing
something
else
Tips
for
Success
• Pick
a
song
in
your
vocal
range,
you
won’t
sound
as
good
if
you
are
trying
to
sing
out
of
your
range
(too
high
or
too
low)
• Simple
is
more,
don’t
try
to
outsing
a
song
• Country
songs
are
typically
enjoyed
by
the
Wayne
County
Audience
but
not
required!

p.m.
• We
will
choose
5
contestants
in
each
category
based
on
August
8th
auditions
• Winning
contestants
will
be
posted
on
Wayne
Idol
Facebook
Page
at
9:00
p.m.
on
August
8th
• The
10
contestants
will
perform
Wednesday,
August
15th
at
the
Wayne
High
School
Auditorium
starting
at
7:00
p.m.
• The
crowd
will
be
able
to
vote
for
one
person
in
each
category
• The
audience
will
be
allowed
to
buy
more
votes
for
$1
per
vote
but
no
more
than
10
votes
per
person
(maximum
of
$10)
• Each
contestant
will
perform
one
song,
when
all
contestants
have
performed
we
will
open
the
voting
to
the
public
• Once
the
votes
have
been
cast
and
counted
the
program
will
end
announcing
the
winner
• Junior
Category
14-‐19
years
old
• Senior
Category
20
and
up
• Winner
receives
$100
as
prize
(both
Junior
&
Senior
categories)
