Platts reported that the Singapore Exchange has
confirmed it is considering launching coking coal swaps.
The exchange has not given any further details, but
market sources told Platts that the swaps would be based
off The Steel Index’s premium hard coking coal FOB
Australia reference price.
Leveraged products performed well at the Singapore
Exchange (SGX), the international financial market place
that offers multi asset trading in indices, commodities,
bonds, equities and currency futures. The listed exchange
saw a 32% upsurge in trading activity in its future and
options division for the month of August.
The unpredictable state of affairs in India boosted trading
activity on the Indian index contract, Nifty Index Futures;
trading volumes were up 34%. The SGX offers a range of
instruments for markets across the Asia-Pacific region
including the; Nikkei 225, Nifty as well as Chinese and
Indonesian instruments.
Singapore “Flyer” Of The Week: China Minzhong: China
Minzhong Food Corporation Limited (SGX: K2N) has been
in the spotlight for the past one week or so due to
an incendiary report released by Glaucus Research. So far
this week, it has surged 111.3% to $1.12, at the time of
writing, from the close of $0.53 on last Friday.
