4. THE 2 COUNTRIES I DID NOT CHOSE FOR MY
COMPANY
Japan:
School life expectancy is 15 years so it would bring in educated
workers who would be able to properly construct well made products
Large population of 127,368,088 people would bring in more workers
India:
Small GDP per capita of $3,700 so my company wouldn’t have to
pay much money for each person
High unemployment rate of 9.8% so there would more unemployed
workers looking for jobs
5. THE COUNTRY I DID CHOOSE…
For my company, I felt that China was the best choice
to settle down in.
6. WHY CHINA?
My Company Chose China For several reasons
The large coastline of China (14,500 km) allows
goods and materials to easily be imported and
exported.
China has a high literacy rate of 92.2% which would
be good because workers be able to follow written
instructions.
China has a large population of 1,343,239,923 so
there would be more people looking for jobs
7. BENEFITS FOR THE AMERICAN
MULTINATIONAL CORPORATION
More money
Would spread the word about the company
8. BENEFITS FOR CHINA
Helps people get more jobs and lower the
unemployment rate
Supplying families with money would hopefully
lower poverty line of 13.34%
9. INFORMATION FOR AMERICAN EXECUTIVES
Chinese aren’t very comfortable with unfamiliar
companies
Chinese prefer face to face meetings than over the
telephone or through letters
Personal contact should be avoided at all times
Bowing or nodding is common greeting but a
handshake is acceptable also
Decision making is a slow process
