My City 100 Years Ago.
I live in a beautiful city called Novosibirsk. This city built in 1893, it is not really old. People
wanted to build the way that people could use for travelling from East to West of Russian
Empire and Garin-Mihailovsky said that it would be more comfortable to build a bridge over the
river called Ob in place where our city is now. When builders started to make this way, they
made a little colony, then this colony started to come bigger and bigger and became a city 100
years later. In that time our city called Novo-Nikolaevsk. Our city was really advanced in trade.
We had a big trade square in the center of city. There were a lot of things that were imported
from other countries. In our city there was a comfortable place to sell it. If you look at photos of
Novosibirsk in 1910s, you will see that it was like a big village, there were horses on the streets,
big wooden houses, but 100 years ago cities like Novo-Nikolaevsk were modern and busy. Now
Novosibirsk is an industrial city with lots of factories and trade places. It has very beautiful view
and historical sites too.
