The Exploitation of Children in Russia in the XVIIIth
century.
In the XVIIIth century in Russia children’s labour was widely spread.
Children worked in plants, factories, mines, printing plants, joiner's
manufacture, workshop etc.
Children’s labour was widely spread because children were paid very low
wages.
Children under the age of 8-9 years did casual work. Children under the age
of 12 years could work in plants and mines of the Urals.
Children worked during 12-14 hours a day. In manufacture children worked
more time than adults.
Children had to work because their families were very poor and didn’t have
enough money to buy food for the whole family.
Children's labour was used till 1917 year.
