2. Install the O-ring seal and plug (58).
3. Install the O-ring seal and fitting (55).
4. Install the O-ring seal and speed sensor (56)
5. Install bearings (54).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.
6. Install seal group (53), spring (52), spring (51), and seat (47) onto piston (46).

7. Install piston (46) onto swashplate (48).
8. Install pin (50) and retaining ring (49).
9. Raise seat (47) and tilt piston (46) inward to install swashplate (48).
10. Install guides (45) into housing (30).

11. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press to install bearing (44) onto shaft assembly (42).
12. Install retaining ring (43) onto shaft assembly (42).
13. Use a soft faced hammer to install shaft assembly (42).
14. Install retaining ring (41).
15. Install lip seal (40).

16. Install washer (37) and retaining ring (36).
17. Install dust cover (39) and retaining ring (38).
18. Install pins (35) into barrel assembly (31).
19. Install retainer guide (34), retainer (33), and pistons (32) into barrel assembly (31).

20. Rotate housing (30) 90 degrees and Install barrel assembly (31).
21. Install gasket (29) onto housing (30).
22. Install bearing (28) and control plate (27) onto head assembly (12).

23. Install head assembly (12) and bolts (26).
24. Install the O-ring seals and fittings (25).

25. Install O-ring seal (24) onto fitting (22).
26. Install filter (23) and fitting (22)

27. Install O-ring seal (19), spring (20), and relief valve (21) into plug (18).
28. Install plug (18), the O-ring seal, and fitting (17).
29. Install the O-ring seal and plug (16).

30. Install O-ring seal (13) onto plug (11).
31. Install ball (15), spring (14), and plug (11) into head assembly (12).

32. Install the O-ring seals and plugs (10).
33. Install O-ring seal (5).
34. Install back up rings (8) and (9). Install O-ring seals (6) and (7).
35. Install cartridge (4).

36. Install solenoid (2), the washer, and nut (3).
37. Install hose (1).
38. Remove the fan motor from Tooling (A) or secure workbench.
End By:
a. Install the piston motor.

A 1P-1857 Retaining Ring Pliers 1
Start By:
a. Remove the gear motor.
1. Remove dust cap (1).

2. Remove bolts (2) and head (3).
3. Remove O-ring seal (4).

4. Remove bearing (5), gears (6), and bearing (7).
5. Remove seal (8) from bearing (6) and bearing (7).
6. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (9).
7. Remove lip seal (10) and lip seal (11).

A 1P-1857 Retaining Ring Pliers 1

1. Install lip seal (10) and lip seal (11).
2. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (9).

3. Install seal (8) onto bearing (6) and bearing (7).
4. Install bearing (7), gears (6), and bearing (5).
5. Install O-ring seal (4).
6. Install head (3) and bolts (2).Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 140 N·m (103 lb ft).
