4. Edward’s father was a builder and real
estate developer in the state of Florida.
His mother, Christina, is a dedicated
director and principal of education. His
great-great grandfather, Alfredo de Zayas
y Alfonso, was the 4th President of Cuba.
His great grandfather was the owner of
one of the largest newspapers in Cuba, El
Avance, and his grandfather, from Spain,
was a business-owner.
5. Edward has exceeded both socially and
academically, rising to be a star and student
leader by the time he graduated from Coral
Gables Senior High in Miami, Florida. He was
an energetic and bright child, taking after his
parents and grandparents. “Business was his
main focus. He has always been in the pursuit
for excellence and is extremely perseverant
just likes myself,” his mother explains. His
formal education includes a B.S. in Business
Management, M.B.A. in Business Professional
Management, and three years of completed
doctoral work in the science of organizational
behavior.
6. Being strongly influenced by his families’ careers
and passions led Edward to his calling in the
media world with goals just as grand as his past
lineage history. After graduating college, his
career began at GE as the Marketing Manager for
GE Power Systems Latin America. At GE Power
Systems Latin America, he completed a black belt
level within the six-sigma training program
created by President and CEO Jack Welsh. He
then transitioned to Director of Sales for group
publisher IPG; which licensed Newsweek, Vogue,
Glamour, Discover, Men’s Fitness, Prevention,
Teen, & Architectural Digest –US Hispanic/ Latin
America.
7. From that experience emerged AMGW
AGENCY, a full-service communications
and consulting agency. Edward
established the agency in 2001 with the
purpose of adding something truly unique
to the business world. His global
perspective contributed to his desire of
providing original marketing strategies to
real estate developers, hoteliers and
luxury brands on a worldwide scale.
8. He realized his strategies were not only
desired but also necessary and began
positioning AMGW AGENCY among the
few agencies servicing these business
arenas at the time.
Recently Edward De Valle was awarded
Business Leader Award for Top 300
Business in the Southern United States
and Top Innovator of South Florida by
the Sun Post.
