The same as most of other countries, Bhutan passport holders are required visa to Vietnam.

Two government institutions could issue visas for you; Vietnam Foreign Affair Department and
Vietnam Immigration Department.
Vietnam Foreign Affair Department gives sticker visa but not visa on arrival. Applying with
Vietnam embassy you need to contact them for more details because each embassy enquires
differently depends on the diplomatic relationships between the countries.
Vietnam Immigration Department issues visas at Vietnam international airports, it also called
Vietnam online or visa on arrival. It means your visa will be stamped at a Vietnam international
airport where you will arrive; you do not need Vietnam visa before you leave your country. In fact,
after you will have applied for Vietnam visa online, Immigration Department will give you an
approval letter by email, with this approval letter you enable to fly to Vietnam without visa.
