1. Taylor Farms was experiencing increasingly higher
maintenance costs, and poor equipment productivity for
their aging fleet of more than 50 units. Their company was
growing rapidly which created capital constraints for non-
core business needs. This made it difficult for them to control
rising equipment costs which squeezed operating profits.
We evaluated their operation and the condition and type
of equipment in their fleet. We proposed different types of
forklift equipment based upon the individual applications,
with a 48 month lease and fixed maintenance program.
The overall cost of fleet management per unit has been
significantly reduced. We reduced the overall size of their
fleet, by eliminating the need for ‘back-up’ equipment. Their
new equipment is much more productive and energy efficient
resulting in lower power costs. They can accurately budget
and forecast the cost of their equipment and maintenance
needs for the next 48 months.
