2. Review: Am I taking responsibilities for my
life…really?
1. You are created to be to be responsible.
Responsibility comes before rules.
2. Irresponsibility is not individual; its communal.
(Irresponsibility always impacts others.)
3. Irresponsibility in relationships leads to conflict.
The Archimedes Principle: People can
leverage this principle and reap great gain or
ignore it and reap great loss.
3. PEOPLE REAP WHAT THEY SOW
Galatians 6:3
“For if those who are nothing think they are
something, they deceive themselves.”
POINT: It’s easy to deceive yourself when you compare
yourself to others…(excuses)
Galatians 6:4
“All must test their own work; then that work,
rather than their neighbor’s work, will become a
cause for pride.”
POINT: compare yourself to yourself..(progress)
4. PEOPLE REAP WHAT THEY SOW
Galatians 6:5
“For all must carry their own loads.”
POINT: Carry your load means take responsibility.
Galatians 6:7
“Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you
reap whatever you sow.”
5. PRINCIPLE: YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
•Past, present, future are connected
•You reap later and greater.
•The principle is neither fair, nor just, nor balanced.
However, it is true and predictable for all.
THE WAY BACK:
Galatians 6:9
“So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for
we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.”
• Take responsibility for bad seed sown and its
harvest.
• Sow good seed…a great harvest will come later
