  2. 2. 4-H Tobacco PolicyTobacco product possession and/or useby 4-H youth participants is prohibited atall 4-H sponsored activities. Tobaccouse by adults during 4-H sponsoredevents is discouraged and should onlybe done off camp property and not inview of youth participants.

Policy Justification• It is illegal to use tobacco products on West Virginia University property• It is illegal to sell tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, to minors• Tobacco use has been linked to numerous health problems• We have a responsibility to foster healthy lifestyles in 4-H youth
  4. 4. 4-H’ers Teach Others• Wyoming County Teens Provide Tobacco Education at Sporting Events• Health Officer Program In Clubs• Lead Group Discussions In Camp• ‘Make The Best Better!’
  5. 5. A 4-H Story Had it not been for the 4-H Program and 4-H camp, I would still be smoking. I had smoked for over 20 years when I quit. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. Belinda
