• Child psychiatrist Malcolm Crowe is confronted one
night by his former patient Vincent Gray who he failed
to help. After Vincent shoots Crowe in the stomach and
kills himself, Crowe can't stop thinking about it. A few
months later he is hired to help a troubled boy named
Cole Sear, who has many of the same problems Vincent

4. Sound and Cinematography
• The director, builds up an unsettling
atmosphere with lots of symbolism and
mysticism. He succeeds in unnerving
audiences without a heavy dependence on
clever effects or carefully staged shocks. This
cinematography further enhances the film's
eerie mood. While his previous films are
virtually unknown outside America, The Sixth
Sense has gained international release.
