3. About the Trainer
DIETER MOLL is a highly resourceful, flexible, innovative, and enthusiastic safety and
security professional specializing in Critical Infrastructure safety and protection,
Emergency Response , Disaster Planning , Incident Command , Maritime Security,
Counter Insurgency , Occupational Health , Safety and Quality including Quality
Management System Compliance .
He is a certified PFSO and has extensive experience in dealing with Port and
Maritime security issues.
He has over thirty five years of applied safety and security experience, knowledge and practical
application of Industrial Safety and Security systems gained through formal studies and experience in
the South African Para-Military Police and Commercial and Industrial Safety and Security as well as the
Oil and Gas Industry environment in South Africa ,South West Africa and in the Gulf / Middle East
Regions .
As a 10 year veteran of the SA Police Para-Military Services he advanced through a series of promotions
, culminating in oversight of a 34-member operational team. He served as a Section Commander
responsible for daily routine patrolling and investigation , crime prevention and various other policing
functions.
4. About the Trainer
Much of his law enforcement career was in Unit 9 , a counter terrorism and internal riot control task
force based in Durban South Africa.
18 months of his police career was spent on the SA borders as team leader for Counter Insurgency and
anti-terror operations working with Koevoet and COIN ( South African Police Counter Insurgency ) units.
He is experienced in promoting a safe and secure environment for staff and customers and is able to
deliver training effectively to students who are responsible for the planning and investigation of
incidents and emergencies. He has extensive knowledge of relevant safety and security equipment,
policies, procedures, and strategies to deal with a wide variety of emergency situations.
He holds a Nebosh IGC National Certificate and is well versed in Occupational Health , Safety and
Environment.
He is a IRCA certified Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001:2007 and RABQSA Lead Auditor for ISO 28000:2007.
He has extensive experience in Incident investigation and holds a Tripod Beta Incident Analysis
Practitioner certificate.
Currently contracted as a free-lance industry trainer for various training institutes in the Gulf / Middle
East Regions as well as Africa and Europe.
5. Career Summary & Goals (Personal Message)
Over the course of my career, I have been a trainer, instructional course designer and training Supervisor /
Consultant . My strength is in creating highly interactive, media rich classroom courses that use questions, role-
plays, scenarios, simulations, case studies, and practice exercises to facilitate teaching and learning. I also have
a talent for making complex subjects easy to understand and fun to learn. I have a real passion for teaching and
learning and I give people the ongoing coaching and support they need to be successful.
As a direct line supervisor , I have led several winning training programs in Safety and Security, including the
highly successful ZBV Back Scatter X Ray training for the Security Directorate of Qatar Petroleum. Our training
department was noted for having dedicated training and interaction of all the regions in the company. The reason
for my success has been in fostering a team oriented ( Qatari Nationals , Nepalese + Omani’s ) work environment
where everyone helped and coached one another and people were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts.
At the present time, I am running my own consultancy business called Risk Control Specialist. From home base in
Cape Town , South Africa and free lancing / consulting to the MENA Region . I am committed to providing
classroom and OJT training to job seekers and employers..
