52 टन का लोडस्टोन (natural magnetic mineral) रखा गया

Konark Sun
Temple, Odisha
The 13th century
temple dedicated
to the Sun god,
where the Sun
god is seen on a
chariot with 24
wheels. The
monumental
temple compound
also has motifs
that point out the
changing seasons,
and months in a
year.
This marvel of architecture is dedicated to the sun god, and the gigantic structure is
meant to resemble the sun god’s chariot, with 12 pairs of elaborately carved stone
wheels, dragged by seven horses.
Carved out of single basalt rock from Hills, it is one of the exceptional temples of India owing to its
massive size, amazing architecture and mind-boggling carvings. With its intricate designs on panels,
monolithic pillars and statues of animals and deities, Kailasa Temple is an engineering marvel perfect for
history and architecture lovers. It was carved in perfect proportion and alignment to its adjacent
structures, which include columns, flying bridges, stone arches, and statues and buildings – all made out
of a single piece of rock.
This would have taken
centuries of human labour as
per the experts calculation but
what is stunning is that this
temple was built in just 18
years. The temple stands 60
feet (18.29 meters) tall and
200 feet (60.69 meters) wide.
The temple has U-shape and is
three stories tall. Now think
how 400,000 tons of heavy
rock was scooped out by using
equipment like hammer and
cutters !!Even with modern
day equipment, one cannot
build this temple in less than
25 years.
Why Kailash temple is not considered as a "Wonder of the world” ? Forget
constructing this temple again, it can’t even be destroyed !The archaeologists
have confirmed that over 400,000 ton of rocks had to be scooped out to make
this amazing structure400,000 ton=36,28,73,896 Kgs
Using modern day
tools, Taj Mahal can
be recreated but not
Kailasha temple. The
temple is THE REAL
wonder of the world
because science has
yet to answer how
this temple could
have been built in
ancient time.How did
they manage to
carve out this temple
using only hammers,
chisels & picks ?This
temple was made by
cutting the mountain
from the top. SO A
SINGLE mistake by
ANY worker can RUIN
the whole effort !
क
Hanging Pillar of Lepkashi
Temple | Anantpur |
Andhra PradeshThe outer
portion of the temple has
massive dance hall.With
70 pillars supporting the
roof. One corner pillar is
the famous hanging pillar
that doesn't touch the
temple floor.There is
small gap between the
pillar and the floor which
gives the impression of
hanging pillar. The base of
the pillar barely touches
the floor and it's possible
to pass thin objects.

Vittala Temple, Hampi, Karnataka
Perhaps one of the most
popular of all the
temples in the Hampi
complex, this houses the
famous musical pillars
that have amazing
acoustics. The British
wanted to find out the
reason behind this, and
so they cut two pillars to
check if there was
anything inside that was
producing the sound.
They found nothing but
hollow pillars.

Brihadeshwara Temple, Thanjavur : Built by King Raja raja Chola in 1002 AD, this temple was dedicated to Shiva. The Brihadeeswarar
temple combines the best in the tradition of temple building – architecture, sculpture, painting and other allied arts. Its Vimana (the roof like
structure that towers above the sanctum sanctorum or main shrine) is 66 metres high.
This womb statue is carved on a wall of Kundadam Vadakkunath Swami Temple (about 60 km from
Coimbatore).Imagine how people of that time would have received this information a thousand years before the
discovery of X-RAY.On the other walls of the temple, a statue of the position of the unborn child is carved every
month.
Usually the fertilization process carvings are present in a front hall of main chamber of deity. The main chamber is
called as "Karuvarai" which means mother's womb.
The meaning is that
the fertilization
done in level below
womb and the
fetilized egg
traveles to
"Karuvarai" where
the life starts. Also
the deity comes out
in a period of time
out of Karuvarai
known as
"Urchavam" or
"Utsav" which will
be a grand

Astronomer Carl Sagan was another one fascinated by these
synchronicities, writing in his book Cosmos, which became a 13-part
miniseries with one episode shot in India, that he liked to imagine the
Nataraja was “a kind of premonition of modern astronomical ideas.”

Dancing Damsel or Madanikas statues
-Lady with a parrot in the hand .There
are 42 Madanikas fixed just below
roof level, out of which 38 are
outside the temple and four are
inside the temple. They represent
beautiful apsaras in various moods
representing feminine charm and
grace... There are a total of 40 pillars
on the outer walls, each with a
bracket/ madanika figure of dancing
girls (38 in total on outer walls).
These sculptures are finely
proportioned and exceedingly
ornamented..You can see her eyes
looking at the parrot ...Also her
standing poise and the highly
ornamented sculpture works all
around...
Who said that “High Нeels” аrе invented by the Westerns ?Look at this
